MEET SHANNON & MAID HONEST

Hi, I’m Shannon Askew (pronounced Ask You), the founder of Maid Honest. I grew up near the Outer Banks of North Carolina and have called Georgia home for almost 8 years. For more than 20 years, I’ve found joy in cleaning for families and neighbors – and what started as a personal passion has grown into a business built on trust, care, and consistency.

For me, cleaning has always been more than just work – it’s been a source of peace. As a child with anxiety, I discovered that cleaning and organizing helped calm my mind. In my teenage years, I began cleaning for my small-town neighbors, determined to make their spaces welcoming and comforting. “I wanted it perfect for them to come home,” I still remember thinking.

That same heart is at the center of Maid Honest today. A clean home doesn’t just look better – it feels better. My focus on health, fitness, anxiety-free living, and soothing spaces helps set the tone for our team and, most importantly, for the clients we serve.
